DriveLog support

A little help
along the way.

Getting started, managing your records and keeping a backup.

Your first journey

  1. Add your name as the first driver. You can add more drivers in Settings.
  2. Enter or scan a registration, choose the driver and tap Start Driving.
  3. Add stops if needed, then finish the journey. Completed journeys appear in History.

Set up the app before driving. Stop safely before interacting with it.

Common questions

Do I need to save every vehicle?

No. You can record a journey without saving the vehicle. Save vehicles you use regularly to add nicknames and categories.

How do I add a Known Place?

Open Settings → Known Places → Add Known Place. Enter a name, then look up a full address and postcode or use your current location. Check the returned address before saving.

How does Auto End work?

Enable Auto End for a Known Place and allow Always location access. For an active journey older than two minutes, DriveLog checks arrival after your chosen delay and verifies that you are inside the detection radius and stopped or moving slowly. Check that the journey has finished; location availability can affect detection.

Can I record journeys without mobile data?

GPS positions can be saved when available, even if an address cannot be looked up. DriveLog can retry missing addresses later. Looking up a full address requires an internet connection.

How do I back up or restore my data?

Open Settings → Data & Backup. Use Backup to iCloud Now to create a backup. Restore Latest iCloud Backup replaces all current app data and saved preferences with one backup after confirmation. Export a Complete Archive first if you want to keep a separate copy.

What does Delete iCloud Backup remove?

Only DriveLog’s current and previous iCloud backup archives. Your current phone data stays in place. Automatic cloud backups pause until you successfully choose Backup to iCloud Now.

How do I share a monthly report?

Open Reports, select the month and choose PDF, CSV or Email Monthly PDF. Add a Report email address in Settings to prefill the recipient. You review and send the email yourself.
